Dev Valley Global School takes pride in encouraging and inspiring children to read from a very young age. It is our strong belief that reading enhances one's life both, academically and socially. As a school, we strive to make each student develop the zeal to read and enjoy different literary works. Our philosophy towards reading can be summarized in a wonderful quote by Frank Serafini - “There is no such thing as a child who hates to read; there are only children who have not found the right book.”

Dev Valley Global School has over 2,000 book titles, covering areas like fiction, reference books, periodicals, magazines, etc. in libraries across both campuses.

Each classroom has its own mini library where the books relevant to the subjects being taught are borrowed from the library and put in the classroom for teachers’ and students’ ready reference.

Reading is a regular activity in all the classes in the pre-primary and primary stage. The curriculum ensures that teachers read books to children on a daily basis and also lend simple self-reading books to students on a weekly basis to read at home. The structured reading program ensures that children graduate from reading simple picture books to an advanced theme or genre-based story books through the school years.
